Android Wear Launch

Android Wear officially launches early July 2014 and LG seems to be the only supplier determined to have a product ready soon that features Android Wear. The LG G watch is set to ship 7 July.
Google announced their new venture into wearable tech at Google I/O and there has been a lot of fuss concerning the new technology that is going to arrive.
Pebble made huge success with their Kickstarter funded watch that has the same features shown by Android Wear. The Pebble has to make do with its own app and it causes bottle necks for them.

Google has embedded their beautiful Google Now interface into the Android Wear that makes the upcoming watches much more appealing to the public. Pebble watches were only seen on the wrists of the Geek community and it did not benefit the average Mobile user as much.

What does apple have to say?
The iWatch has been leaked and shows off, in true apple beauty, their take on wearable tech. Apple has little experience with wearable tech though so it will be interesting to see what Apple can produce, but apple has never disappointed their customers in the 21 first century. 

Motorola announced their new Moto 360 watch, it will provide a much more natural look to the smart watch industry. The round face of the watch, brings a lot of challenges with it for the developers.
It has a small blank spot at the bottom of the screen where all the hardware necessary to power the device is stored.

 Motorola claims their device will include a wireless charger, this is confirmed by the lack of charging ports on the device.
The Moto 360 is set to launch later in 2014 and could finally provide the industry with a good looking smart watch.

Android wears features include weather, commute, notes, appointments, fitness, voice search, navigation, and music control. All these features are also available on the pebble but in a drastically more stylish fashion and the main reason is: Android Wear includes colour display.

Leaked info from the Samsung Galaxy F

Earlier in 2014 there has been rumored leakage of the new flagship successor to the Galaxy S5 the Galaxy F.  @evleaks has released an photos of the new Samsung device and it features a metallic back cover like the new premium devices from HTC and LG. @evleakes seems to be spot on with his previous leaks, the Galaxy F shows some promise.

It is rumored that is will include the new quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor from Qualcomm. This processor features USB 3.0, 4K camera and display. The Display of the Galaxy F is rumored at 5.3-inch 2560x1440.The new device will also feature 3GB of RAM that is the only improvement not seen in the S5

Could this be Samsung’s answer to the LG G3 with its display that features above the industry standard of 1080P?

The G3 seems to be the only Android device that has this high resolution yet.

The camera of the Galaxy F should be around 3840x2160 (30Fps) which corresponds to the supported camera specs of the Qualcomm processor.

Based on the improvement from the S4 to the Galaxy S5 it should feature things like improved battery life and a larger screen size.

With the release of the new Android Version L, could Samsung secretly be developing a device that will release hand in hand with the new Android version.

We finally see a glimmer of hope for Samsung to replace their cheap plastic feel and overall quality. They cheap feel of the previous versions was the main draw back where HTC and LG blew them out of the water.

Why so soon? Samsung just released their new flagship device and already they start developing. The reason why they are developing so seen has yet to be known.

The amount of Samsung device is creeping ever so slight to the Giants of Apple. If these rumors become true Samsung could give Apple a real run for their money!

3D Printed Blood Vessels

Researchers have made an extraordinary breakthrough in medical science field with the help of 3D printing technology.

Researchers from the University of Sydney, MIT, Harvard, and Stanford have discovered a way in which the can print working blood vessels. They constructed minute interconnected fibres with a futuristic bio printer, next they covered the fibres with human endothelial cells and applied a protein material. The whole print gets to be hardened by light and finally remove the fibres and what is left behind is an extremely complex array of hollow cell material. 

Days later, those cells manage to reorganize themselves into stable capillaries

Dr. Luiz Bertassoni from the University of Sydney said it is still a long way to go before this technology will replace the traditional donation and transplant system like the first successful heart transplant accomplished by Dr Barnard in 1967.

In the last decade, the number of patients awaiting a donation has doubled and the number of organ donors has barely gone up

Scientist had managed to grow working blood vessels in labs and together with the 3D printing technology it can show promise for patients in the future that can not find a donor in time.

In March 2011 Dr Anthony Atala shocked the world when he showed off a working printed kidney at a interesting TED talk he broke the necessary steps to successfully print a working organ requires 3 major components: Biomaterials, cells, and blood supply channels.

Google buys Songza

 

Songza is acquired by Google

                      

Songza is a popular music streaming service that started in 2007 and some unique features that their competition does not have in their arsenal. Songza uses data from the users location including the weather, mood and activity of the user. A playlist is presented to the user and he/she has the option to skip a track for a limited number of times, it also features the ability to vote whether the current songs fits the users liking.

At the time the deal went down it was believed that Songza was also in the sights of other companies which raised the value and buying price of the takeover. 

Google said they will bring no altercation to the service and their goal is to incorporate the technology in their other services.

Songza is one of the smaller giants in the online music streaming services although it is free. It has 5.5 Million listeners as opposed to the 90 million of Pandora.  It is obvious why Google went for Songza, they use the users input and situation rather than algorithms based on popularity which as we all know is Googles strong point and never ending quest for relevant advertising.

RAT 7 Review

The RAT 7 is the wired version of the flagship Madcats gaming mice. It features extensive modifications and a wide variety of adjustment from different side panel swap out and palm rests.

It has 2 Programmable buttons on the side and a horizontal scroll wheel than does not feature per-installed functions but can be programmed via the included software.

Inside the packaging it includes a metal case that has cut out slots for all the spare parts and the weight tube. Each panel has 2 additional replacements that have different heights and textures.

The thumb panel has the option to slide forward and backwards with the help of the added Allen key that is seated neatly beneath the palm rest. The left side can also pivot to give the feeling of a bigger device for the larger gamers but be aware that does not seem to be held firmly in place and when the adrenaline starts pumping it seems to often come loose and slide back to its original position.

The Software

The software has a ton of features and includes media control that is not featured in most of the gaming mice on the market. The RAT 7 unfortunately does not include on-board memory and forces the user to select the preferred profile every time the computer is restarted. The macro functionality is extremely versatile and allows for minute adjustment between button press and release phases. The RAT 7 has memory for 4 desired sensor sensitivities. Overall the software unlocks the full potential that the developers have envisioned for this truly magnificent device.

Quality

The RAT 7 is made up from extensively rigid materials and should be able to handle to most extreme of rage cases.  The palm rest does sit a bit loosely when it is extended to the maximum setting. The braided cable attached to this beast gave me no hiccups and handled tugging and pulling with ease. The LED’s that indicate the different mode has faded and the last LED from the sensitivity indicator has failed.

Verdict

Overall the RAT 7 is top contender in the high end Gaming Mice market. I would recommend the wired version over the wireless version has I have heard some complaints that it suffers from interference. If you wish to game with a mouse that has the perfect feel this is the one I recommend as it can conform to your desires.
